moviez like dis get acclaim and win oscarz ala blind side ala da help bec its bout white ppl savin da blk ppl while moviez where blk ppl overcome adversity by themselvez like da grate debaterz, da express, and red tailz get absolutely no recognition or any audience. its embarassin 2 watch dis and quite laffable when a few white ppl in audience were clappin afterwardz bec they basically clappin 4 themselvez. total boooooolsht daz wat it is!

I thought it was pretty good, in this case he pretty much started a program and was showing how far it came in 5 years. A man that grew up without his father was helping to develop the minds of young men in a situation much like his own when he was their age.

I also liked "The Great Debaters" and "The Express", but "Red Tails" was quite embarassing and much rather prefer the HBO original.

I know that's been a problem with plotline trends these days. Django Unchained kind of helped reverse that, with the Christoph Waltz guy mentoring Django to the point that Django could save the day himself.

Don't think it would have made any difference if the coach was black.

The film was about giving those kids a chance to do something they could be proud of, with a chance to push on from there in life.

There clearly weren't a lot a prospects where they came from, but being involved in football gave them confidence.

I thought the coach seemed like a decent guy, the fact that he was white didn't cross my mind.
