looking for details of those inside jokes

there are two inside jokes that i havent been able to catch yet:

1. the morning newspaper shown on the first morning of turbo says something about a catastrophe - is this a reference to monster vs aliens?

2. when the team creates a new shell cover , there are several things written on it. the sentence on the shell is what i am specifically curioous about
