MY IDEA FOR AN ANIMATED MOVIE
All I need to do is pitch this idea to Dreamworks, and we might as well see it on the big screen.
The movie is called ROCK STAR and it's about a rock who dreams of becoming the world's greatest musician.
The main character's name is Rocky, an average rock who lives in the backyard with his rock friends and co-workers. As a rock, it's his job to sit around, protect gardens, and provide shelter for all the worms and spiders and other creatures. Rocky has a dream, however, and that is to form a band and becoming the greatest musician ever known. Every night he practices singing and playing guitar, and he actually has become good at it. Despite his efforts, though, his father refuses to allow him to chase his dream, as rocks aren't meant for playing music. Rocky decides to ignore his dad's words, so he runs away and travels to Hollywood. He ends up getting lost on the way, but meets and befriends a retired musician named Kyle who promises to help Rocky approach his goal. They both travel to Hollywood, and after some conflict, they finally get the record deal and become famous. Their band, now called Rocky Road, becomes the most popular rock band ever, topping the charts.
Not long after landing a spot in the music awards, Rocky lets the fame go to his rock head. He and Kyle get in a quarrel, and eventually break up after Rocky tells Kyle he is better off working solo. Rocky decides to partake in the music awards without Kyle. While performing at the music awards, he drops out because the absence of Kyle causes him to loose confidence and messes up. He quits his career as a musician, and people soon forget about him. Few months later he stumbles across Kyle again. After a talk, they make up, and become friends again. They realize that dreams are worth achieving without the help of someone you care for. Still possessing a passion for music, they reunite Rocky Road again, only it will be a local band for now on.
ROCK STAR coming soon to theaters, along with a movie about a lamp with dreams of becoming a football player and joining the NFL, and a movie about an amoeba whose lifelong desire is to perform on Broadway.
