By the looks of this cast listing it looks like he has the leading role in this movie. However according to all the news articles it is Laura Michell Kelly and Ronan Keating. Does anyone know anymore details as to how big his role is in the film.

He plays the role of a busker. When Elspeth finishes her meal at the Bennelong (in the Sydney Opera House), she walks back to her hotel. He serenades her.
He meets her again the next evening (?) whilst she walks along the harbour bridge side of circular quay (I live in Sydney) He again serenades her.
He's not on screen much. But he does brighten things up a bit.
