share'Dirty Grandpa' (2016) holds a 7% rating on RT. Critics seemed to have loathed it, but how does it fair with the rest of this year's film entries?
shareOf mainstream released movies I'd say yes, it was the worst of the year.
I didn't laugh once and it was so bad I fast forwarded through parts of it (thank God I didn't pay money to see this turd at the theater). Horribly written & directed, and nothing seemed to work. The stupid old man/hot college chick desperate for him seemed to be an old geezer writer/producer, etc fantasy...and then we had the Hero moment when the supposedly old man with no good qualities stood up and saved a "gay" (when, in real life a guy like Deniro's character would either join in and beat the gay dude or stand back laughing and enjoying it.....but....the PC machine must be placated).
I think curse words & sex are great and have no problem with them in movies....but here it was just done for the sake shock value or whatever, wasn't funny or in any way tolerable. I can't understand how this even got made....can you imagine anyone at the script reading/meetings reading through this *beep* and thinking it was any good??
