the scenery

I will admit when watching the film how beautiful the scenery particularly the coleseum and the fountain in addition to the plaza.

I was in Rome five years ago and I enjoyed the movie because it took me back to all the places I was at. They even filmed in the park near Borghese Gallery. I love the part where they made Roberto Benigni a celebrity as the Italian press and Paparazzi hounded him. That is so Rome!

...IMO was the best part of the movie. Rome appeared in all her finery.

I love the scene with the red car driving up along the ruins with the Roman aqueduct looming Ozymandias-like in the background, while the 1930s song "Non Dimenticar le mie Parole" plays on the soundtrack.

There's also the scene between Jack and Monica at the modernistic music auditorium, a scene which also boasts some great comic dialogue from Alec Baldwin's John character ("Go ahead. Walk into the propeller.")
