They Never Show the Aftemath

Hey I like all genre's of love plots, but why in films they never want to spend anytime showing the aftermath. I never got to see enough of the way they felt about how it would affect there partners. They leave there partners so easily. Or if the relationship was really solid enough for the leap. A love story can be told about how some people feel deeply about there jilted lover/partner. But here it is merely handled as if they wanted to get to the next scene.

I liked the reaction of "Tim".
I would've done the same thing, told her to get out of the house and all that.
He said he wasted pretty much 7 years of his life who he thought he'd spend the rest of his life with.
I thought the end scene was stupid.

Just my point, Seven years is a long time for anyone to just drop there partner and not be sad/conflicted about it. Then move on as if it meant nothing. I don't think I have ever seen where they feel they really hurt someone and maybe it was a mistake.
