Is there any meaning for the continuous referencing of people taking Ambulance man's cup, and Nurse letting him use her cup?

I assumed ambulance man was a client of Alps and that seemingly banal interaction was either the last he had with a deceased co-worker or an interaction he thought pleasant.

shareAnd also, it appeared to me that the coach was also a client and reliving a relationship he had with a deceased gymnast (who probably hung herself.) The robotic delivery of the "you're the best coach in the world, etc" kind of makes that pretty obvious as does the ending where the gymnast finally performs a routine to the 80's era pop music.
