Good Start, Unsatisfying Ending (spoilers)

This thriller starts nice and quickly introduced us to some interesting characters. The low budget of the film is obvious despite some nice visuals here and there.

*spoilers ahead*
But I do find the ending unsatisfying. We never get an explanation about the motives of the hi-jacker. Did he planned it? Was he seeking fame? Revenge?
Louis and Sarah obviously will end up together, but I would like to see an "a year later" or Max celebrating his next birthday and someone bought a little train/railroad game that disturbs him, or a scene that the survivors leave some flowers to the grave of the old guy or the old lady.
I didn't want to end there.

Anyway 7/10 for the first half, 4/10 for the second. Overall 5,5/10.

I kind of disagree. We need context. Also a "6 months later" would be nice.
The ending for me was abrupt.

Don't write scripts, please, don't.

I get what you're saying, but I felt that the point of this movie was to tell the 'ship in a bottle' version of the 'hollywood action movie'. Take some of the lesser characters you normally see in B movie dross and inject them with real character! Likewise, whilst you thought the movie needed a more commonplace resolution - I applauded its ability to not not follow the traditional path even more - the fact that it made you want to see those things you mentioned was enough for me that it had done its job. I was invested in those people!

I'm the complete opposite

I thought the first half was pretty boring (at least the first 30 minutes) just waiting for something to happen, the last hour was great tho...

I'm with you on the ratings, just the opposite

It's been a long time. I shouldn't have left you, without a dope post to step to
