Little Gem

So long since I have seen a decent splatter movie. This was just sooo good.

I agree, its a great little indie horror flick. I'm finishing it up now.

I agree! It may have been an indie low-budget film, however, the production value and good acting made it fun to watch. Speaking from a female POV, the female lead was inspiring...she knew what she had to do and didn't fall into the cliche of horror film women who are bimbo and do nothing but scream. She used her head and kept her wits about her when she needed to.

Except for the part that pisses me off the most where they hit the guy, he falls to the floor and they walk away without confirming the kill. I would bash that dudes head in until I saw the center of his brain on the ceiling.

Thinking the killer is dead when he's not is a staple in just about every slasher movie where Freddy/Jason/Michael/whoever gets their ass handed to them (temporarily)is a very tired cliche. One thing they all have in common is that the would-be victims never checks to see if he is dead and end up regretting it later.

In this unique movie, I think it's the only time when the killer saves the victim.

I love the end where she walks into the book signing, plops the head on the podium, says "Here is the real headhunter killer", takes a swig of beer and says "Any questions"

I agree with the reply to your post from bigwiggs3214-754-309918 » Thu Aug 1 2013 23:51:48 but, then there would not have been the great ending

I also agree with your reply to him but, then any horror movie would be over.

I popped it on last night as something to fall asleep to at about 12:30 AM. At 2 AM I was still wide awake, enjoying this movie. That NEVER happens to me that late at night.

Great little indie. Gives me hope that the indie genre isn't completely dead yet.

I thought she was awesome! Her character kept her head and didn give in to fear like too many women in slasher/horror movies that are only able to scream and be useless (and die). Not this chick! It's been a long time since I saw the movie, but didn't she bash the villain over the head with a body part of some kind?

I just can't remember.....
