Why aren't there more discussions about this?

This discussion board should be on overload. This documentary was very educational and very important for people of African background to learn more about their history, their real history.

It is quite sad that documentaries like this are not discussed more while comments about some "hot" bimbo actress overload the message boards.

You know why... This society is not into anything of intellectual value, and that goes for all races of people. But for African-Americans, most of them are not into anything that shows the significance of being of African decent due to the fact that history has done a great job of making our history seem as insignificant as possible. People don't care about what doesn't affect them directly.

Yes you are right. And you know this saddens me. I wish more Black people were conscious about their real history.

Because white people beat the history out of black people, so they believe the history about themselves that whites put in their minds. They don't believe the truth about themselves.
They don't want to believe that they were great people. Black people are so brain washed and misguided by whites.

This is why we need to break free of the mental slavery the dominant society has casted upon us. Even before I saw Hidden Colors I have been questioning my history. Society = mental slavery in my opinion.

This documentary should be shown to children in school. Especially children in predominately black schools. If you have the DVD, share it with your family members and close friends. Pass it around. We can no longer expect non-blacks to tell our story. We need to take control and do this ourselves. And this documentary should not be the stopping point but a springboard for seeking further knowledge of our magnificent history.
