You would be very surprised to learn what the Nazis were up to. Hitler sent men all over the globe to do research for several projects and hide money/gold, find evidence of the Aryan race and its connection to the so called German master race, make counterfeit money, seek out the Ark of the covenant (inspiration for the film The Raiders of the Lost Ark). Etc... Etc... The Nazis were very busy indeed,
