Does Fords t shirt make sense now?

Remember the GAP looking promoshots of Gosling and Ford with Ford in the modern looking t shirt and people were tweeting about how he looked like hed turned up to the shoot and been like 'yeah I'm not putting any trenchcoat stuff on I'm just wearing what I'm wearing' https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C0Ngal8UcAQq-nt.jpg:large
(wonder if those rather dull looking promoshots had any effect on the audience anticipation/box office - like 'man Ford looks bored in that basic tshirt, if he can't be bothered making the effort why should I?')

Anyway after seeing the movie does the tshirt make more sense now? It must've been pretty hot in Vegas (it is anyway let alone in radioactive orange Vegas) as opposed to the photoshopped? promoshots where they in the traditional cold/wet blade runner city environment (with gosling all wrapped up warm in the traditional blade runner coat) plus maybe he just woke up and flung on a t shirt and grabbed his gun when he was alerted to K (maybe K in his blade runner coat less affected by heat as he a replicant?)

reply

jeans aren't that great for heat...

i think they were going for an i'm-just-relaxing-at-home look... they should have had him in a rob, but Leto had already taken that option ;)

reply

The T-shirt was fine, but it should have had a more futuristic cut.

reply

maybe the T shirt is what turned a lot of people off?

reply

Yes. This movie would have broken a billion dollars if it weren’t for that damn shirt.

reply

they could've had Ford in his BR coat just for the posters to help sell the movie I guess

reply

By all means... perhaps. Comfortable wear.

reply

Yeah, it's somewhat understandable that he'd be in comfortable clothes as K finds him in what is, basically, his home. But I still think they could have worked in a little fan service when Deckard was rushing to escape. There was an opportunity to have him hurriedly throw on his old trenchoat, tattered over the years, but still offering him some sense of security as he geared up for his escape.

reply

that would've been cool

reply

fanboys are pathetic, this is why film is so bad, so many problems in this movie and they lose their shit for a sweater, pathetic.
