After a recent re-watch, I've decided to modify my original ranking order:

4 (more a close tie w/ 1 now)
3 (better on repeated viewings)
5 (started out good, but really loses steam towards the half way point)
6 (still rock bottom worst final season & worst series finale ever.)

6 is not canon for me, and is by far the most horrible season ever written for television in any show. Game of Thrones Season 8 is a runner up, but not quite as bad.
