Watched Season 4 over again - that scene with Freddy where he flips out on Frank. I remembered thinking Freddy was mean, and why? I understand that he probably wanted a friendship with Frank and couldn't ever get closer than being "the help." But, now I'm watching back from Season 1 again and Frank appears to be good to Freddy. He over tips him, he got him a job at the White House. What happened to Frank and Freddy's friendship? Did Frank get so damn evil that Freddy hates him now too? Why does Freddy freak out on Frank?

I thought Frank had a very patronising attitude towards Freddy, and Freddy's rib business was destroyed with all the publicity when it became known that Frank was a patron. When Freddy's son reacted badly towards the press harassment everything went from bad to worse. Business gone, son back in custody. I thought Freddy started to resent the past downfall of his business ( and his independence) and the consequences for his son and blames Frank for it all.
