I've seen the trailer!

When I saw Tim and Eric in London a couple of nights ago they showed the audience the trailer. You're not going to be disappointed. It looks amazing.

Yeah, I caught the show last night. It was fantastic, and the trailer screening at the end was a cool surprise.

It looks absolutely insane.

This stinks; I just looked for it online and it's not there.

reply

Yeah I can't believe this thing hasn't made its way online yet, I'm dying to see it.

I hear a lot of good things about the trailer, but I'm afraid that Tim and Eric might start doing what South Park did: Get so full of themselves that they think everything they do is hilarious, and keep on doing similar stuff that they think the audience will love, which would make the material lose all it's spirit - They'd be doing crazy things because it's what people expect of them, but it wouldn't be original.

Can you reassure me and say that this all looks like completely original material, and that it doesn't feel like it was pumped out by some T&E-machine?

The question is, who wouldn't?

Well Monarch, they already ended the Awesome Show after 5 seasons so it seems like they know when to move on. They seem to be moving away from the "80s Public Access" aethestic. That was hilarious (and still funny IMO), but their more recent stuff is more like small short films that don't rely on spaz editing and cheesy graphics.

Though the movie will surely try to cash in on the success of the show, so I wouldn't expect it to be too different. I'm guessing it'll be like the Crimbus special but even crazier.

to those who saw the trailer, does it seem more of the style of show, or is it more like their recent shorts?

watch the Red Band Trailer and judge for yourself:
http://www.geeksofdoom.com/2011/12/04/shrim-heres-the-new-poster-red-b and-trailer-for-tim-erics-billion-dollar-movie/

hint: the usual quick-cut editing makes it kinda tough to have any kind of clue if there's gonna be any kind of plot beyond a paper-thin excuse for quick little absurdist/uncomfortable sketches. Might be more like KITH "Brain Candy", but with even less rational story. ;)

Actual Plot Description (via http://movies.ign.com/objects/123/123783.html)...

I wouldn't be too worried that T&E are running out of ideas, they've done a lot of things after Awesome Show which have all been crazy different

Seeing Steve Brule on the big screen will be worth it.
