The real problem with this movie

I think the real problem with this movie is that it didnt go far enough.
Most of the movie just kind of lays there and not much funny or repulsive stuff is actually happening. The only scene comes close to vintage T&E is the sex scene between Tim and the woman in the mall. I think they toned themselves down for this movie to appeal to a bigger audience which is of course not really possible with them since the main attraction is the boundary pushing humor. They reduced the exact thing that appeals in the first place.

I personally thought the shrim bathtub scene to be a bit over the top.

I agree. To me this didn't seem much different from your average mainstream comedy. it's also that there's a lack of jokes & gags. there seems to be too much time in between them. it's very slow paced.
