Extinction and RE1 are the most boring movies I've ever seen. Although RE1 had a lot more and a lot better action in it compared to Extinction. The only reason why I like Extinction a bit more than RE1 is because of Matthew Marsden who plays Slater. I like that actor.
After seeing your post, now I know that I should not take seriously about your opinion on anything. I should take it as only a joke. Thanks for clearing that out.

man, its hard to see that many like more the weak sequels. I just love the first one Resident Evil. The conspiracy and mistery theme made it a superb movie, and there were really gore and horror seeing them fightint against the zombies, not only action. The second one , Apocalypse, was also top notch, it landed much more in the action but still worked. From the third one on the franchise lost its charm, it was still fun to watch, but not great movies anymore.

I think its just me but I hate Extinction, not that it is a bad bad movie (rated it 6/10) but I expected so much more. The transition from raccon city to the outside world was poorly done.

This is basically what I think. I like RE1 because it has the best plot, RE2 because it's a killer action movie, and the other movies are just average at best.

RE1 and RE2 are two of my favorite movies of all time. RE3 was an OK but somewhat pedestrian action movie, but reasonably well done. RE4 didn't leave much of an impression. RE5 was flawed in many places, but for some reason, I enjoyed watching it more (e.g. - didn't get bored) than RE3 or RE4.
How anyone could list any of the last three movies ahead of RE1 or RE2 is beyond me. I was shocked when I saw some of the lists. But everyone has their own opinion. I do think I need to rewatch Retribution to further evaluate it. Its the only one I've only watched once, along with Extinction, which I just watched tonight for the first time. Sopmetimes your frame of mind, mood, or expectations will affect how you view a movie.
why do you list retribution higher than extinction
but still rate extinction with a higher grade?
