What happened to these movies?

Okay, I know video game fans will say the games are better but the film series started getting REALLY REALLY BAD towards the end of Afterlife.

RE : Extinction was actually getting good for trying to be somewhat original after straying away from the games (okay, it was heavily influenced by Mad Max) but RE: Retribution felt like there was no coherent plot at all. I liked the opening sequence in the beginning of the film but that was it.

Everything was just bad. Wesker is suddenly good, Red Queen makes an unexpected appearance, The Luther guy is working with Leon, Barry and some two guys and all your favorite RE movie characters have been cloned.

Talk about recycling a movie.

And the action wasn't even worth watching. I don't know what the hell did I just watch. There was a scene of Alice in her bondage suit killing Japanese zombies with a swinging handcuff, I actually laughed at how bad it was. Even funnier was those never-ending Nazi zombies and that big giant licker. It looked like I watching a parody of video game stereotypes.

I guess Paul W.S. Anderson doesn't care about the films genuinely anymore. He just wants money and wants to exploit his wife. How can Sony Pictures still fund this garbage? Come on, Watch the first Resident Evil and then watch Retribution.

At least RE 1 and Apocalypse were trying to be a little more serious and dark.

This one was terrible and almost completely unnessesary. Paul is trying to get too big for his britches when writing the story. He's making the same mistake as the game series. The plot was so much better when the scope was smaller and simpler.

they started getting really bad when they started using green screen for everything.. (RE4)

Yeah you are right. Everything looks so fake in the last two movies. The first three were confined to real settings.

It gets worse- They are coming out with yet another movie. Me and my family laughed at the entire movie. We were bored and had nothing better to do so we watched this. The movie studio had no right to call this Resident Evil. The first three movies were good but the last two sucked. They should re-brand it as a comedy.

Wesker isn't suddenly good, he is using the only resources he has to achieve the goals he has. If you truly think Wesker isn't going to betray everyone in the next movie then these films are clearly too complex for you.

Red Queen is a computer program...computer programs can be installed in more than one place.

It was a chain with a pad lock on it, not sure where you got swinging handcuffs from.

You should really learn the difference between Germany and Russia cause only one of them were apart of the Nazi party.

First off- The reason I did not like the idea of Wesker being a good guy is that horribly ruins his character as in the games he wanted to destroy the world.

Second- I am aware computer programming can be installed in other places

Third- I know full well the difference between Nazi Germany and Communist Russia.

One last thing- You seem to be a troll if you are going to reply to my post with insults.

Learn to use the forum, my post was a reply to the OP hence the reason the threading is organized the way it is.

Wesker is only doing what has to be done to accomplish his own goals. Just like how Capcom had him pretend to be a good guy in the first place and how he secretly helped Chris and Jill when they attacked the facility in Russia during the events of the Umbrella Chronicles game.

You're the troll by the way. You came to this board and the RE6 board to trash the films and say that the people involved in the making them should die so don't be a *beep* cry baby when you're met with hostility instead of admiration.

Well, guess what? Alice is apparently a clone too that's replicated from an actual woman named Alicia (if not mistaken).

Have watched it as I live in Malaysia.

To me it's WAY better than Afterlife. That one was so boring.
