So as Brian and Mike get out of the complex, there were at least two instances where they could have fled the scene on a vehicle.
Forget the AK-47, forget the number of rounds remaining. Why not flee the scene?

Yeah, could have taken that cholos car after they blasted him, but they were expecting the cavalry to arrive any second and it would have been a bad look for all of their fellow officers to arrive only to find that Brian and Mike bitched out.
