LOL. Paranormal Activity HARDLY created this genre. However, if the formula works, why change it?
Example - Coke changed it's formula, it didn't sell, so they changed it back.
Horror buffs want to see different films, but.. average people could care less if the same movie is put out 140 times, they still pay to watch it. It's for the fun, not the quality.
EDIT- Sorry you didn't say they created the genre. My apologies. The rest still stands though. lol
