Atypical Horror Movie

Usually, it's the hero/heroine of the horror movie that ends up surviving and making all vital kills, which in this case would be Todd and Claire. There's also the stereotype that the black guy always dies first.

I thought it was kind of unusual that the black guy ended up being the hero here. He's the one who killed Chloe, he's the one who saved Claire by taking Norah hostage and then knocking her out, he's the one who saved Claire again by tackling one of the two "henchmen" guys, and he saved Todd by shooting Brad. Neither of the two main characters really did much of anything useful.
