Kinda OT: The best store to support DVD sales to go towards a movie's $

My uncle who works in the ET business said this about how much film studios make from DVD/Blu ray sales. I've emailed him back, but i'm still a bit confused as to what he said. Could someone please help me out. Here's what he said:

"Generally, the bigger the retailer, the more leverage they have wit hteh studio and therefore the lower the price they pay to the studio for the DVDs, so WalMart would get the best deal, the Toys R Us, etc. It's then up to the retailer to set their price, so a retailer like WalMart could pay the lowest price to the studios, but then choose to sell it at a low price and therefore make less than a smaller retailer. (For example, If WalMart pays $10/dvd and sells for $11, they'll make $1/dvd, but if Futureshop pays $12/dvd and sells for $15, they'll make $3/dvd. Of course, WalMart will probably sell more dvdd overall than Futureshop, but that's generally how the economics work."
