first episode was amazing

it was both amazing and utterly depressing. the speculations on the demise of the universe were utterly sad. I cried.

It was amazing, beautiful and depressing all at the same time.

I do feel that it lacked a little bit more information, but I think maybe that's his intention, to get us interested and find out more.

The second episode was incredible. I am a bit surprised they didn't make this the first episode as it was more informative and gave a good illustration of how the universe formed.

visually - yes. theorically - not. he forgot to mention that supernovas end up in black holes (well he did in episode 3) and that black holes after "eating" enough mass re-explodes creating new stars. its a repeating cycle as no matter dissapears and therefore universe will never "end".

Haven't seen this series yet (it begins next week here in the US), but eventually ALL the STARS in our Expanding Universe will cease to exist.

Our own SUN, for example, turns into a WHITE DWARF (after expanding into a RED Giant).

Eventually ALL the STARS in our Universe will DIE out ... leaving the Universe a DARK and Very Cold place to be.

So this Universe will definitely also come to AN END.

The question is are there other Universes besides this one ... or Mulitverses?

According to BRANE theory ... there might be other Universes.

And each time a BRANE bangs against another one ... another Universe gets created.

So in other words, he "forgot" to mention something, but, oh, he DIDN'T forget. Hmmmm.

he did mention it once, what looked like more of a "by the way" sort of thing, but then went on to tell us like as if it wouldn't happen.
