that made me respect Erin the most was when she jumped out the window. That takes a lot of courage.

Yes it took courage for Erin to jump through the window, but remember that the character of Sally did the exact same thing nearly 40 years prior in the Texas chainsaw massacre. And she wasn't even raised as a survivalist!
shareThere were lots of jumps through the window by the heroes/heroines done in movies, especially horror and thriller movies :)
shareYes, it was cool but it has been done in other movies as well. Some 80s horror movie did the same with a chick who in a house that was about to explode after she saw her friend crawled out of the mouth of a human monster.

Agree - that actually showed good instinct. She saw the killer and without thinking jumped. Most people would probably freeze or try to run, but not out the window.
But what else surprised me about this scene was the HUGE shard of glass she pulled from her leg. Seriously, that was a massive piece of glass.
