Stephen was PURE EVIL

If only for the misery he caused to members of his OWN RACE, he deserves to go down in history as one of the most detestable Tarantino characters EVER!

Indeed...and it was pretty brave of Samuel L. Jackson to play the role.

You will note that Jackson ...in his "Uncle Ben" white haired look..is NOT on the poster with Foxx, Waltz, and Leo.

Nor, despite the skill and power of Jackson's playing of the role, was he Oscar nominated. I don't think the Oscar voters wanted to salute the purity of Jackson's evil.

And this: camera angle and lighting help, but Jackson's face contorts into a mask of pure Satanic evil when he is talking to the ultra-vulnerable Django(naked and hanging upside down with his testicles exposed for the cutting)..its acting at its most powerful.

Yeah. That he was. He really got his at the end. Also, I thought Christoph Waltz should've been nominated for best actor in a leading role. I actually looked at the time of the movie when his character died he died 2 hours into the movie. Sure the movie is 2 hours and 40 minutes but if you're the main character for 2 hours of a 2 hour and 40 minute movie, you are a leading role imo.

What a great character, though. He had some good lines.

"...I miss you like I misses a rock in my shoe".

"WHOOO dis n@gger up on that nag"?!

"...We do that shit all the time! Hell's bells, the n@ggas we sell to LeQuint Dickey got it worse than that! Lo and behold, out of nowhere, Miss Laura come up with the bright idea of giving your ass to the LeQuint Dickey Mining Company"!
