Your favourite scenes/shots in the film?

Which are in your opinion the things that are working well in
DRACULA 3D?

I've seen the film twice in french theaters and i rather enjoyed it despite the flaws (uneven pace and screenplay mostly).
Best stuff in the film are in my opinion the visuals, the 3D works well with nice depth of field, the cinematography is pretty with some beautiful lightning and framing, i also liked the performances of Marta Gastini (a very good, charming Mina Harker), Rutger Hauer and Miriam Giovanelli (i don't know if she was good or bad, but she's still a well cast Dracula's bride, for sure!)...even Thomas Kretschmann wasn't so bad.
With a tighter editing and screeplay, i think the film would have been very good, for now it's a decent, honest gothic B movie, better than some of Argento's last works like "Sleepless", "Phantom of the Opera" or "Giallo".

Tanya's big breasts...wouldn't have minded seeing them in 3D.

The forest scenes were nicely lit and coloured.

"Passion is just insanity in a cashmere sweater!"

When Mina has the dream sequence, I thought the lighting was beautiful.

Actually, I thought the whole film was shot rather well, which surprised me considering how many complaints I'd heard about it looking "flat." I thought the colors were nice.

Best scenes in the film are probably the forest scenes.

I liked the opening whith Tania in her house then shots of her wandering in the forest at night...some nice shots and cinematography in this scene.

The dream scene is beautifully shot, it reminds me a bit the dream scene of "An american werewolf in London", i also like the overhead shots of Mina sleeping in her bedroom, nice nod to the blue tinted dream scenes of "Phenomena"...the cinematography here is geat.

The scenes in the church have also beautiful lightning and interesting frame composition, with the above head shots and strange surreal lightning through the stained-glass window.

I also liked some shots of Mina falling from her horse in the woods, surrounded by the wolves, also shots of her waking from her sleep in Dracula's castle and wandering in his library, also Mina talking with Van Helsing near the film's ending, with these nice close-up on their faces and the pretty background lightning.

The crypt/vault scene is also nicely lit.

My favorite scene is probably Van Helsing preparing for his final battle with Dracula, e.g. making the silver bullets etc. Love these montages and the music is great in that scene.

I liked this bit too, the scene and the music...Claudio Simonetti's soundtrack is a bit uneven and generic at times, but plays well on some scenes (i like the violin bits on Tania's scenes, also the piano melodies), like this one.

I really love when we see Dracula in owl and wolf form. I had never seen a version of Dracula take owl form before (though it is suggested in some plays). And it's rare to see him turn into a wolf these days (though that is from the original novel). I'm quite fond of wolves so I liked it when he was in wolf form.

And despite the strange unsheething sound effect I liked the extending of his claws too. You rarely see retractable claws with Dracula anymore and he really should have them.

I also like how near the end you can hear the fist few chords of Kiss me Dracula in the background.

And that it's obvious Dracula is not really dead.

I love a good, cheesy, Dracula movie where they explore his traditional but now seldom used powers.

For most unintentionally hilarious scene I would say when he turns into a seven foot tall mantis. That is pricelessly cheesy and the effect for it is awful.

I also love the corny delivery of the priest's line. "You do not know what he is capable of! He is evil, Van Helsing! Do you hear me?! EEEEVIL!"

I too enjoyed it, flaws and all. My favorite scenes were in Lucy´s flower-decorated crypt, and the shot of red rose in the satin of Lucy´s coffin.
