I also agree, but you're right that it's not for everyone. Another Kind is atmospheric, slow-paced and creepy. It's one of those movies where things seem increasingly off-kilter without any single major disaster or obvious cause. I love movies like that, but someone who wants non-stop action or constant scares or a clever, twisty plot would do better to look elsewhere.
Some people complained about the ending, but I didn't mind it. While there are plenty of hints as to the general nature of what's coming, the way we find out is kind of clever if a bit of a cliche. It's like the character stumbled out of the woods only to get hit by a car. However, I liked the characters enough to wonder what exactly what happened to them, particularly the last man standing.
