2 different shows, same episode title

Both Whitney and The Neighbors were titled "Space Invaders" this week. Seemed kinda funny.

Well in comparison, The Neighbors is miles above Whitney. Neighbors is funny, every episode is great and i laugh. It's well written and has great actors.
Whitney is the opposite.

As we grow we learn, i have learned that if you don't like me grow up or ignore me.

I can't say I disagree

I liked Whitney, well the second half of season 1 and it seems they have changed everything again. Im not laughing, im not even wanting to watch it anymore.

With neighbors though, i do love it, from day one i was laughing. I would happily sit down and watch Neighbors live, we have a nielsen box and so our view does count.

Oh I'm a troll because my views differ from yours?

You're the first person I've come across who has one. Cool! I hardly watch anything live. I guess you have to for it to count?

reply

Yeah, it's really cool to know that i have the potential power to help cancel a show or to help that show. Ive stopped watching Whitney and so the ratings will drop. i believe it's i box = 30,000 views.

Last I heard, one of the requirements for Nielsen families was never saying/admitting that you are one.

So, anyone who says they are, really isn't.

lol, that would be a fine example if she was going Burbank and telling them at the studios she has one.
She is a random person on the internet, no harm no foul.
I used to have one in the old house but before i moved they took it. This is going back a few years now though.

I don't understand people these days.

I watch both shows, although I'm constantly asking myself why I still watch The Neighbors. It's quirky, but extremely predictable and not much different then watching Barney the purple dinosaur. I expected it to be cancelled after the first season and I can't say that it would have bothered me any. For some reason, I continued watching it throughout the second season, but I doubt I can take a third.

In contrast, Whitney was fun, vibrant and had interesting characters. I figured it would become a huge hit, much like New Girl, although not so "cute" or contrived. It was one of the funniest shows on TV, but it seems too many people don't know humor these days. I guess it didn't have enough overly-done sarcasm or something.

It's getting to the point where I'm tiring of setting the DVR to record shows, because they're almost always cancelled soon after. I could avoid this by watching the mind-numbing junk that never gets cancelled, but then I'd die from boredom.

No, it did not have interesting characters. That was the problem.

Alex and Whitney?
They end up getting married, even though the concept of the show is that they are a "modern" couple and Whitney doesn't want to get married.

Neal?
They just wrote him out. Very interesting character there!

Lily?
Crazy/loony hippie friend who has not prospects, jobs and mooches off of others? Been done before and much better.

Mark?
So he just quits his job as a police officer and opens a bar that all his friends hang out in... interesting concept. They should make a different show about a womanizer running a bar and call it something other than "Cheers".

Roxanne?
Might just be the one interesting character on the show.

Sure, when a TV show you like gets cancelled, it is everyone else who doesn't "get it". Apparently it has nothing to do with the fact that it just wasn't a well done show.
