Does anyone else think the show has improved?

I remember watching the pilot and the first few episodes and thinking that the show had about 30% funny jokes, almost exclusively from Alex. I didn't mind much at the time because I'd just finished seeing Two Broke Girls for the first time so that number felt like a huge relief but lately I've actually found myself consistently chuckling form most of the jokes from most of the characters. At least more often than not.

It's far far from the funniest thing I've seen but generally find it a use of 30 minutes that I don't regret watching.

I know humor is incredibly subjective but is there anyone else in the same boat?

I agree with you. The show is amusing and while I think there were some great episodes last season, overall, this season is better and has more potential. I'm not confident it will last. The ratings are below average. The best writing is between Whitney and Chris and it falls short on the supporting cast IMO.

This season is soo much worse than last. The background characters have been watered down. Alex and Whitney are poor actors and the writing all around is pathetic. The ratings are worse this season than last and it shows because the show is horrible. At least last season was tolerable because of Roxanne and Mark but this season they are just there...

As we grow we learn, i have learned that if you don't like me grow up or ignore me.

I totally agree with you. The second season can't hold a candle to the first. To the original poster I really liked the first few episodes. I can see why they cancelled it because the second season was dreck.

I think the show has improved. I find myself making a point to record new episodes so that I won't miss it, whereas before I was meh about it.

i find the opposit has happened. The supporting cast is non existant and Whit not Chris can hold the show on their own.

Oh i'm a troll because my views differ from yours?

That's your opinion, you're entitled to it. I totally disagree though.

LOVED the first season. HATE the second season.

I think Whitney has improved from season 1.

It is so much better than last season. It's probably too late and it will be canceled, but they really made some improvements.

Much better than last season and yes Whitney has improved her acting as well. The first season seemed as though she was forcing her normal comical Whitney on all of us and this season she seem to be relying more on her acting. The supporting cast is fine and I love it more with the addition of LJ. I like his character and he brings another funny side and perspective to the gang.

I'm actually surpised that this is still even on. I watched the first episode and thought it was the worst thing I'd ever seen, but gave it another chance and watched until halfway through the 3rd episode before I turned it off. And I'm the kind of person who will pretty much watch anything through it's whole season even if it's not the greatest.

Maybe being British I just don't get this sense of humour, but I also really hated the characters and seriously didn't even crack a smile the whole time I watched it. But then I also hated 2 Broke Girls/The Neighbors/Last Man Standing which also seem to be going on so maybe the American audience just has a very different taste.

It always seems the shows I love get cancelled or ar close to always getting cancelled (Ben & Kate, Community, Happy Endings, Leverage and many others).

I've loved this show since it's inception and I also don't understand the negative reviews. It's one of the few good adult humor shows on TV. It isn't unnecessarily over the top as such shows like 2 Broke Girls using one liners after another. They seem to polk fun of everyday topics ranging from dysfunctional close friends to weird family members that we all can relate to. I hope it stays on for another few seasons.

I really enjoy this show. I wish they didn't can the gay token character for the black token character (it seemed a bit obvious and desperate) but, aside from that, it's an enjoyable show.
