Worst movie ever.

I would like my 75 minutes of my life back. This movie was just terrible. I would rather watch Glitter with Mariah Carey while listening to ICP.

reply

I've seen far worse, but what makes this movie so bad was that it was disappointing. I really thought between the writer and the leads, it would be a great comedy.

I guess I'm getting old...I prefer intelligent plot lines and witty humor over incessant crass jokes.

Meh...Tina, you could have done better.

reply

"King Pin" comes to mind when I think of worst movie ever, but I couldn't finish this one.

reply

WHY did Fey and Poehler agree to this?? I'm waiting for them to come out and just say they did it for the money.

reply

It was AWFUL!!!! I want my money back.
Felt like there was no script. They just made it up as they went.?!?!?

reply

You make a good point. Maybe there was no script. Half the cast was from SNL and now I'm seeing the writer is also from that same coterie. It's basically a friend group who got together and pasted together a ridiculous mess. I'm wondering if maybe the director thought they could wing it without a script because SNL and improv. I'm sure they all had fun on set. Too bad they didn't balance fun with work. I'm forever going to side-eye everything they involve themselves with from now on.

Just like every recent Seth Rogen/Judd Apatow project?

+1

A little bit of hyperbole there, but it wasn't a good movie and I am a fan of both Fey and Poehler, There are movie stars and there are television stars, and while a few can cross over, most should just stay in their lane. It appears Fey and Poehler are better suited for the small screen.

reply

I don't see how or why a person being a star on the big or small screen has anything to do with it. One does not require more talent than the other. It all has to do with what the material they're given to work with.

Hope changes everything.

reply

Wow, the hate for this movie is entirely deserved.

Vulgar can be funny, but this movie is just a frat-girl disaster from start to finish.

reply

Agreed. Sometimes the haters are right.

reply

I watched it 3 times and loved it

reply

...but it is the worst I've seen in awhile.

Me and my wife were watching it and after 20 minutes I said to her "I don't think I've laughed once." She said "It's awful."

My thoughts were that it was mostly improvised. People seem to forget that there is a reason writers spend weeks, months, years writing scripts. It is to ensure that the result is polished and presentable. This could have been written by a couple of 12 year old on the back of a report card...you know the report card..that says they have to repeat the 5th grade...again.

Just unwatchable.

It's really bad and not even in an interesting way. Shame on all involved. Using trash to make money is honorable if we're talking about recycling. And while the jokes may be recycled, that doesn't help the environment, it pollutes it. Tired of movies starring people from SNL and sick of films featuring adults acting like kids. It's embarrassing, not funny.

reply

Unfunny movie, tired, juvenile, not clever. I didn't expect it to be good but it was so so, so bad.

reply

Yup ... it was really, really bad. You make a good point about recycling .... this film certainly does nothing for the environment ... on any level. And yes, it's embarrassing. I'm kind of embarrassed I watched it. I'm grateful for my laptop and solitaire. Watching cards pile up on my computer screen was the only way I got through this waste of bandwidth.

I tried to watch the whole thing, but I made it only halfway through before I had to stop the video. Given who's in it, I just couldn't believe how awful it is. I thought Baby Mama was a LOT funnier, and that movie isn't exactly a brilliant work of art. Oh, Tina and Amy, please redeem yourselves and go back to hosting the Golden Globes.

It tells you something about the average intelligence level in current american society.
