Where exactly in Istanbul was this film shot?
Anyone have any clue in what parts of Istanbul this movie was filmed? I am particularly interested in the location of the house where the lady and the driver move.

I'd like to know where the house by the beach/cliff is, the stairs which look like the ones in Cihangir, the warehouse where the lead character meets up with Yilmaz Erdogan at the end, the beach where the lead character stands a la the guy in Nuri Bilge Ceyhan's Uzak, and the cracked road where he drives among the rhinos as well as any other locations you may be able to spot. These are all photograph-worthy locations and I'd love to visit at least some of them.

The place you are looking for is Sariyer; Garipce.
Garipce is a very small village 10 kilometers away from Sariyer district.
You can find only one shopping store and 3 small "fish" restaurants in Garipce. No motels!

Other locations in the movie are Cihangir, Aksaray, Eyup and Galata.
These are the places I know.
Istanbul is a very big city and it's impossible to memorize every place.
If you are really interested and want to know exact locations, give me a couple of days (again).

Thank you. I appreciate your prompt reply and help. Garipce is exactly what I was looking for. Have you been there? Is it worth visiting? I want to go there to take some photos. Do you know if the place where they play "tavla" is Cihangir by any chance?
And finally, do you know the location of the vast cracked plain at the end of the film?
Unfortunately I've not seen Garipce. If you live in Istanbul and a very busy person, it is very difficult to visit places like Garipce. But; by translating (Google) the page (link) that I gave you at my post before, you can find interesting facts about Garipce.
And for "tavla" scene... I don't know the exact location but in Turkey, if you find any place to drink classic Turkish "tea", that means you can see people playing tavla. In Cihangir, there are lots of "kahve"s (cafe) for tea and tavla!
Also, I couldn't remember where the vast cracked plain is...
