The ending questions (Spoilers)

I have two questions regarding the ending.

1. When Sahel was driving the two girls around did he at least know that the girl was Mina's daughter (even if he may not know she was HIS daughter)?

2. What is with the drowning scene? Where are Sahel and Akbar really going when he decides to drown both of them?

Please help out...the first question especially is troubling me a lot..there is no hint that he knew she is even Mina's daughter in which case it would be a hell of a contrivance that he ends up sleeping with his own daughter!
