IS THIS HOW MEN REALLY ARE??!!!

Is this how men really are behind closed doors? If so, I am officially done. I would gladly become asexual.

reply

Lol no

reply

Yup, this is exactly how all men are. This movie revealed the truth about us dirty devils. Beware!

reply

There are millions of men who cheat on their wives or girlfriends with co-workers, neighbors, strippers, prostitutes, escorts, and etc. So yes, the Loft is a classic example of what many married men do. Like you see in other films, the a$$holes are booking hotel rooms, using their friend's apartment to sleep with their mistress....the list goes on lmao

Now, not every man on this planet commits these selfish acts behind closed doors. But obviously there is a high percentage of douche bags across the map. Women have to be careful with who they decide to have a future with. You may come across a sweetheart or perhaps run into a casanova.

reply

I'm not sure if you're serious or not but just in case, most recent studies show that women are more unfaithful than men, so (if you're serious) go eat a d1ck.

reply

Copy and paste your recent studies!

reply

Men are more unfaithful than women...not the other way around. That is such rubbish!

reply

What is this based on? Opinion? I know women that cheat on their boyfriends/husbands personally and intimately. Let's not point the finger...we should admit that infidelity happens and not try declare a loser.

reply

Yes both men and women cheat but the poster created a thread saying "Is this how men really are? so therefore the conversation is only focusing on men's infidelity.

reply

Yes, but the OP has opened up this thread with a sexist generalisation that is not applicable in ubiquitous circumstances. Saying "is this how men really are?" in such an, imaginably, shrill and disgusted tone, is equitable to saying, "do all women really crash while driving!?" Both of those are utter nonsense and not representative of the larger population. Qualitative and quantitative data both suggest that there is a larger average percentage of men who cheat than women, but we can't forget that statistics mean very little to the individual, and cultural capital is equally important. Ergo, cheating will vary by social norms and stigma. There is a proportionately higher percentage of people who cheat in the US, as compared to Japan, for instance. And on a personal level, I know dozens of married couples, and not one has ever had trouble with infidelity, whether we're talking about one of the two individually, or both together. In other words,

only focusing on men's infidelity.

is a sure-fire way to have yourself labelled as sexist.

Simply put, the OP is a moron and anyone who considers such statements acceptable and plausible is anti-equality.

reply

If the other poster is a sexist for creating this thread in a disgusting tone then I suggest you question why the writers created that particular plot for the movie. I'm assuming to you that this movie is a misrepresentation of what millions of men do.

reply

You're "assuming to" me? What's that supposed to mean? And what's your point about the plot? Movies can be fictional, factual or a deliberate representation of reality. There are movies about women who are murderers, cheaters and outright horrible people, just like there are for men. I suggest taking that massive chip off your shoulder and broadening your mind to the possibility that women can be just as terrible as men, which I have personal experience with.

"All these squares make a circle."

reply

Historically and statistically, women have not and are not as horrible as men. The movie repped all the lead men as liars or cheaters. The OP asked a hyperbolic question based on that plot-point of this movie. Of course nothing is ever 100% but plenty of men and women alike agree that most straight men have trouble, more than women, being faithful.

reply

I think you need to learn what the expression "can be" means, because I never said anything about statistics in that last post. In fact, in the one before that, I said that statistics support the view that men are more likely to cheat than women. The OP brought the plot of the movie to this board and applied it to real life as if to suggest it's how all men act, and arguing semantics isn't going to dispute that objective point.

"All these squares make a circle."

reply

The causality doesn't make sense in your post as I never claimed that women couldn't be as bad as bad men are. You're acting all affronted at the OP but she/he didn't say women couldn't be bad either, so maybe work on your reading comprehension so you don't get all worked up over things that haven't been said. The OP asked a question, she or he didn't make a claim or accusation.

reply

I agree. Men are the more unfaithful ones. That's why I hate to see decent men get treated poorly by some women. Because decent men--who are faithful, are extremely rare. Even some of the good ones have given into temptation at least once, then regretted it and went back to being faithful.

So whatever study that person claims to have found I would not want them to bother pasting it. I think it's a lie--a fabrication tailor made for men who like to wear designer suits made out of b.s.

reply

of course.

reply

Yes, most.

reply

Yep! This movie covers it all. Every man alive today is just like those 5 guys, avoiding any attempt at fidelity and getting all they can on the side. The truth is finally out and we are now all in trouble! Darn...

What's the OP upset about -- the murder or the infidelity? I don't think you can classify all men as murderous. And what's wrong with cheating? If I want to have sex with a co-worker, or the babysitter, that's none of my wife's business.

The only real idiot in the movie was the guy who fell in love with a hooker. And he was a psychiatrist!

reply

... or with your sister, or with your mother. Seems logical to me, at least for you.
