'Mafia' DVD review

Overall, the movie simply left us unimpressed. There are so many gangster films out there, and it seems it’s all been done before. As a straight-to-DVD release there isn’t much to complain about aside from "Mafia" being painfully average when it could have been so much more.

Making a film set in the '70s and throwing on some filters doesn’t mean you made an exploitation film; it simply means you captured the cheap, low quality of the pictures they made back then.

Everything you say is true, and yet I still kind of enjoyed it. It's not a good movie, I won't recommend it to anyone, but it was one of those fun-bad movies. Ving Rhames is hilarious in this.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.
