It is not a Remake of Original Agneepath, It is Very Different

This is not a remake.. except the names and few similarities, it is a completely different movie.. so I won't compare it with original Agneepath..

Now as a different movie on its own.. I thought it was a complete crap.. a very bad movie.. it had no purpose.. no path.. the movie was too long, boring, going at very slow pace.. I don't think the director or actors knew what they were doing..

*****SPOILERS AHEAD*****

The beginning was great, movie started with the bang, and fizzled after Hrithik Roshan appears on screen..

the best part of the movie was when vijay's sister come to meet him for the first time.. and his mother invites him into her house.. and he gets to eat food cooked by his mother after 15 long years.. this whole segment was excellent..

Vijay Chauhan wants bombay, he wants mandva.. but then director moved on to something else.. its like too much was going on in the film and at the same time I felt like nothing was happening..

at the end.. vijay gets stabbed and cut by kancha multiple times.. but when vijay gets up, his wounds disappear.. it doesn't even look like he was stabbed multiple times.. instead he looked like a person with minor cuts and bruises.. it was very dumb of the actor and director and filmmaker to show that!

(SPOILERS AHEAD-- Read only after seeing movie)
Scii fii, I agree that 'some' of the wounds inflicted by Kanchaa are not seen clearly on Vijay when he gets up, near the 'execution tree'... but, Vijay still looks all bloody and seriously injured still.
It's when Vijay sees the (execution) tree, reminding him of his beloved Father's fate, and realizing that the terrible and cruel Kanchaa is dragging him towards a similar one-- that Vijay is angered to a point of rage, subsequently in-flowing a rush of adrenaline into his body, that gives him the re-surge of strength to confront Kanchaa, for the final time.
Spiritual power/flow of strong emotions will, many times, give a person a strength which will almost seem un-human and miraculous to others. There have been instances like such in real life-- like a woman/man/Mother/Father will have a power to lift an entire car if their child, God forbid, is stuck underneath it, in order to rescue and save the child.

I agree with you on this but..

When a person gets stabbed as badly as vijay did in the movie and that too multiple times.. he would lose so much blood.. there would be blood all over this body and you should be able to see the wounds cut open..

look again and you will not find stabbing wounds on vijay..

i thought the pace of the movie up to the intermission was exciting the way he sets up the hit on rishi kapoors son and i had thought rishi kapoors was not going to recover in hospital after finding his son dead thus killing two birds with one stone but no the story just went downhill and had to end with a ridicilous showdown as soon as the girl died and where was vijays role as the top gangster?. i agree with what you have said though but after the intermission the movie flops.

reply

Yes you are absolutely right. I have to agree with you here. I did enjoy the movie until the intermission. After which it just went downhill!

They did not show him do anything as a top gangster. After intermission, the movie did not make sense. I am really surprised that many people liked this movie. I don't understand what they saw was his purpose that I did not see.

The movie is such a big hit!! I think nowadays to make a 'hit' movie in Bollywood, all you need to do is just do excellent marketing for the movie. So people rush to theaters to watch the movie in first week and thats where you make all the profits.

If the movie is very good, it will become something like '3 Idiots'.. and if the movie is not good, it would still become 'Ra One' and 'Golmaal 3' and earn 100+crore..!!

What did you expect Vijay to do, continue Rauf Lala's work? He became a gangster for the only goal to take revenge against Kancha and reclaim Mandwa. He mentions as a boy that people like Rauf Lala deserve to die.

reply

Oh really.. thats all??

- What about the drugs that he stole from the minister's residence? What happened to it?

- Vijay was a drug dealer and he sold drugs while working for Rauf Lala, so again what did he do with the drugs he stole from the minister?

- Yes Vijay thought that people like Rauf Lala deserve to die. So what did he do about it? Oh I guess he thought he rather wait until Rauf abducts his sister and try to sell her and even then Vijay did not want to kill Rauf, until Rauf kept pushing Vijay by saying all nasty stuff about his sister. Yep that makes complete sense right.. LOL

- Vijay wanted to take revenge against Kancha. So lets see what would Vijay need to do to take revenge against Kancha. Vijay thinks why don't I work for Rauf Lala and sell drugs so I can become strong. Then Vijay thinks let me kill Rauf and his son so he can become the top gangster with all these men at work for him. Then he thinks, nahhh let me just go and kill Kancha myself, so he goes without any help..

Very smart movie and thinking.. LOL..

If his motive was just to kill Kancha then why become a top gangster? After becoming top gangster why go alone try to kill Kancha. If he just wanted to kill Kancha, why did he do all this BU*LL*SH*IT..

Simple, the movie is stupid and does not make any sense.. the filmmakers did not know what the heck they were doing! PERIOD.
