According to the intro of the show, it seems like Wayde and Brett started the company together, but according to their website, Wayde is listed as CEO and founder, while Brett is COO.
Watching the show, it seems like Wayde has a bigger appreciation for fish (& animals in general), while Brett is more of a sales pitcher. But the show makes it look like they own the company together. Is this the case, or is Wayde the owner?
Wayde is the actual owner. Brett is more of a basic salesman.
If it wasn't for the like with Heather, Brett would most likely not have a job there ;)
Founding members of a small business often take on separate roles. They could just as easily own the place together but one acts as CEO and the other as COO, that would not be even the slightest bit unusual.
If you don't define peoples role within the company right from the start it can be a headache down the line on decision making processes.
