Did Steve Schmidt cooperate with the filmmakers?

Very good movie.

Did the real strategist Steve Schmidt (played by Woody Harrelson) help the writers and the director of this movie? I mean did he provide them with any of those private conversations of him and Sarah Palin behind the closed doors?

I don't think he's legally allowed, but do you know if he was participated anyhow in making this film?

He was a major source for the book. The movie closely followed that portion of the book.

reply

Oh!!! I forgot that it's based on a book!

He revealed a lot of the behind the scenes info of palins catatonic stupors and because McCain did not cooperate he was the source of the info that mcccain hired a doctor to secretly observe palin at the bbq to see if she exhibited signs of insanity. But Schmidt witnessed stressed based catatonic stupors and nervous breakdowns. No one else could have been the source if you see a scene where only McCain and Schmidt are speaking because McCain didn't cooperate. SO the secret doctor checking for insanity was all Schmidt! Why he chose to do that and not advise McCain remove palin is a mystery.

reply

Niv, you're all over the place with these "catatonic stupors".
We've got it. She had catatonic stupors.

reply

That's what the movie says and shows. The movie has her being secretly observed by a doctor who was hired by mccain and Schmidt and with all this information why did she remain on the ticket?? It's so bizarre. Conservatives (krauthammer, noonan, murphy, etc) were all over the media demanding palins removal from the ticket based upon the gibson and couric interviews as well as other things and the McCain campaign was keeping it secret that they had hired a doctor to secretly observe her because at least 3 people were convinced she was mentally ill!

Actually saltnurwound, Game Change never showed Sarah Palin in a catatonic stupor as Niv-1 insists. Catatonics cannot feed themselves or dress themselves or even clean themselves, let alone run for Vice President.

So before you get too engaged let me tell you that Niv-1 has posted over 100 times here that Sarah Palin is insane.

Niv-1 is OBSESSED with Sarah Palin. Niv-1 believes that Palin is mentally ill and that this movie proves it.

Niv-1 also claims the film shows;

-Palin ”crying and shaking saying 'where is my baby' over and over again.”

- Sarah Palin has ”a severe mental disorder that lead the campaign to hire doctors to do a visual diagnosis of insanity"

-Sarah Palin is "a danger to her children"

-Palin ”curled up in the fetal position and could not function for days”

-”McCain saying she is such a stupid woman"

-"Palin was tested for insanity."

-Palin has a "major eating disorder"

-"Palin is seen as totally insane by people according to the movie”

-"It was irresponsible of the McCain campaign that they did not commit Palin.”

-"McCain should have dropped her and it wouldn't have hurt his campaign because Palin is mentally ill."

-”All those people saying the interview was so bad because she (Palin) is insane."

-Palin "was in a catatonic stupor"

-Palin was "unconscious on the floor of her hotel room."

It doesn't matter that none of these things were actually in the movie, in Niv's feverishly OBSESSED brain Sarah Palin is INSANE and the movie Game Change proves it, and Niv-1 has posted it 100 times over and over and over and will continue posting the same obsessive rant to anyone who will listen.

Just thought you should know...

Why else does the movie show a doctor secretly observing palin at the bbq to see if she's insane. You are ridiculous in that you keep talking about this movie which it seems you haven't seen or are just clueless at putting scenes into context. Schmidt is on a phone call with McCain when he reports to him that Palin seems to be having a total mental breakdown which is when McCain says he has a doctor neighbor who can secretly observe her the Bbq to see if she is going insane. Then the doctor reports to shcmidt that her mental state must be excused by her having a son in war and having just given birth a while ago! He doesn't even say she is fine he just give excuses.

The movie does show her in a catatonic stupor because in between of all the scenes of characters talking about her going into catatonic stuports you see her passed out the floor surrounded by papers. IF you have seen the movie you would know about this scene and the context it occurs it. When I have told you about this scene you have said that its a cut to palin having fallen asleep. You are so ridiculous because you don't seem to have seen the movie at all.

It's pretty clear that Steve Schmidt and Nichole Wallace cooperated. Their perspectives formed the movie. The political sphere is pretty small and all the big players know each other. Since the book was written by political reporters who consistently interact with the campaign staff, you can tell that's who gave out all the information in the book and the film.

There are some YouTube videos with Nichole Wallace talking about Palin, and they're pretty similar to what goes on in the book and film.

Ignore the trolls!

And Schmidt and Wallace worked tirelessly to make Palin Vice President. You couldn't just work for McCain being president you also had to work to make Palin vice president. Why didn't either resign from the campaign? Just go on TV and say Palin is too stupid to be Vice President and join Obama's campaign?

reply

Yes,

so did Nicole Wallace....
