One thing I'll give McCain credit for.....

He has maintained at the very least, a respectable relationship with Palin after the election.

It would have been easy for him to completely regret the pick and pretend he never knew her, but he has a little too much respect to do that. McCain seems to realize that he made a make or break pick and was going to accept the consequence no matter what happened. Clearly it didn't work, but he doesn't seem to regret it publically or hold grudges over it. While many members of his own campaign team have gone out of their way to blame her for the ticket's failure, McCain has largely ignored that aspect of the storyline and has gone out of his way to defend Palin for helping his campaign.

I can at least respect him a bit for that.

If he said the stuff Schmidt and Wallace said it would make him look even worse! If he says he hired a doctor to follow her around at least one BBQ that raises a million questions!

John McCain is smart enough to know that time takes care of people like Sarah Palin. 7 years later and McCain is still a respected US Senator.

Sarah Palin is a Republican sideshow who recently lost her last high profile national job at Fox.

In hindsight, he seems wise.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
