The camera work in Crawl reminded me of the Coen Brothers first movie Blood Simple. Using the camera to dictate the suspense.. Highly recommended!

''Shades''!!! this was such a shameless rip-off! with everything done worse and without any class. I'm actually very angry it's getting any praise because it's basically a piss-take of my favorite film!

"Shades" is about right I'd say. Loved Blood Simple and enjoyed this quite a bit too.

Finally seeing this film and had to pause it after 30 minutes to check IMDB and see if anyone else was recognized the Blood Simple influence... lo and behold...

It really is shameless. Whole scenes and shots are lifted straight out of Blood Simple and No Country for Old Men.
