Still Love this show!

Hi everyone! I started watching this show in 2013. I live in the USA so I searched the internet for episodes with English subtitles and I got pretty far... all the way to where Hurrem marries Suleyman. After that, I had to read translated scripts online while watching the show. I had a few Turkish websites that I used to watch. Some links were bad and some good. I stopped watching when the new Hurrem actress came on. She is great but I just couldn't get into it after that. So now I am back trying to find more links. The websites I used still have some links but some don't work anymore. I just hope someday to learn Turkish and buy this show on DVD.

I stumbled upon this show streaming on Netflix (with English subtitles) a few days ago. I'm hooked, not midway through the first season, and trying very hard to not read many topics and spoilers. Your post looked safe to open.

Just need to exclaim, d___! These characters, especially Hürrem, make it hard to root for them. I was wholly on her side until she unnecessarily started a war with Ibrahim, was disrespectful towards Nigar Kalfa and the few who were on her side, and became totally ridiculous.

Wanted Ibrahim and Hatice to be able to marry until Ibrahim stated his loyalty to Mahidevran and plotted against Hürrem. Like Hürrem said, Ibrahim will have too much power if he marries her. But she's the sweetest thing! And I want her to have what she wants.

Mustafa is just adorable. Need to separate him from his wicked mother. There's no way a four year old should be expressing jealousy and so much insecurity.

WHOA, this show is now on Netflix??? I didn't even expect this! I found a website that sells the episodes with English subtitles, but they want CC and I don't know where that CC number is going so I have not bought any episodes. I really really really want this to hit DVD someday! I already bought the epic movie Jodhaa Akbar and if you have not seen this, you should! It is so amazing!

Back to the show..I love Hurrem. Although she was kidnapped, held as a slave and then almost killed many times by Mahidevran and Valide, I feel Hurrem deserved to be a bit of a bitch. She was so hot tempered anyway and smart that she survived so much! As for Ibrahim, I think Hurrem picks on him because she knows he will be a corrupted person in a high position. I like Hatice too and but I cannot say much because you are only in season one. And I always hoped that Mahidevran would just leave the palace, but she is always there to terrorize Hurrem. Excuse me while I go to Netflix!
