Of course I know who Mengele was? Are the events in the movie based on a true
case. That is, did the girl in the movie exist and the events about her true?
Did Mengele hide for a while in Patagonia? Is there any evidence that he continued his experiments while in hiding? Was there evidence that the Israeli

The female agent from Israel, Nora Eldoc was indeed murdered by former Nazi's covering for Mengele. She recognized him at a party in a hotel and immediately called the police.
Few days later her body was found by a Slovenian mountain tourist in a cave! And Mengele was nowhere to be found either. He had given a new identity and moved to another country.

The Dispatch of Lexington, North Carolina, dated March 28, 1961. Ran a photo of a woman saying that authorities in Argentina are seeking to determine if she was an Israeli agent hunting Joseph Mengele. It mentions she "was found in a mountain cave a year ago". Presumably this was a wire service item that ran in numerous US newspapers in March 1961.

Per an article from the Knight-Ridder Newspapers agency reporting on Argentine government intelligence files made public in February 1992: "In early 1960, Mengele is known to have traveled to the mountain resort of Bariloche, 1,050 miles southwest of Buenos Aires."

The part about Mengele being in Bariloche in 1960 is true. The main characters in the movie (Enzo, Eva, Lilith etc.) are fictional.

If you don't read German, you can have Google translate it for you. It says that Mengele is thought to have been the man known as "Doctor English" in Bariloche in 1960, who disappeared on the same day Eichmann was taken from Buenos Aires by the Israelis. Also you will find some articles on a site called jta.org which cite contemporaneous articles by an Argentinian publication La Razon. Other sources online give the name as "Nora Aldot" or "Nourit Eddat". I guess these are just different transliterations from the Hebrew.
Mengele lived in Argentina for some years, not in Patagonia but in Buenos Aires, some 1,000 miles away. He performed some medicine ilegally, mainly abortions, but there is not proof that he made experiments. In fact, he didn't have the limitless resources shown in the film; he lived in dire straits during long periods.
Nora Eldoc was a woman killed in a very confusing episode in Bariloche and at the time some believed she was a Nazi hunter, but that was never proven. And if it was true, she would probably be portrayed as a hero today, so I believe it was mere speculation of the press.
