When do you think the accident at the beginning happened and what was with the memories in the house with the old lady etc? Really enjoyed the movie but struggling to make sense of it completely. I'm going to give it a second viewing and I'm sure that will help and is necessary for most! Also, anyone know of similar movies? I can think of memento off the top of my head.

Unable to remember much but with new-found wealth, he tries to recreate what happened from the bits he does recall.
And things turn out exactly the same.
Think Groundhog Day but more pretentious and much less entertaining.
Still debating myself but for similar films certainly see Synecdoche, New York. I also got a bit of a Lynch feel to it at times.
shareI haven't seen Synecdoche, New York, but it reminded me of Twelve Monkeys, as the opening events are echoed towards the end.
