Kiss (spoiler)

The scene with the two men kissing was quite baffling and difficult to take seriously. While there were quite a few strange moments in this film, that was scene that felt the most out of place.

I watched the film last night and was also rather surprised at the scene. However, after going back and watching it again I noticed how the first thing we hear of the scene is Tom asking Naz, "How was Oxford?" This is what he asked Catherine earlier in the film. It seems as if something has clicked in his mind/memory, and he is now recreating that scene with Naz.

As I thought about this I could see more similarities between the two scenes. The way Tom whispers, "Come on. Don't you remember this?" is exactly how he whispered to Catherine. Even the way Naz enters the apartment and how Tom is sitting on the couch is similar, as well as how he grabs Naz's wrist. So this progresses into them kissing. (Of course without Greg's call interrupting them.) Tom didn't address anything Naz was saying, like he was having a different conversation in his head. Something fell into place in Tom's mind to make him start the scene by asking Naz, "How was Oxford?" watched the film last night and was also rather surprised at the scene. Also, I think there was some kind of...bond or connection between the two, Naz being his right hand man, willing to do a lot for him. He's agreed to take part in an actual bank robbery because Tom needs him, and in that scene he's telling Tom he will have people killed for him.

Regardless of how it's interpreted that scene was really hot.
