Dangerous Minds set in Australia

This film doesn't really bring anything new to the table. I came in wanting to gain a deeper sense of what Australia is like through the eyes of Aboriginal Australians but all that was shown is they supposedly are the stereotypical mirror image of Native Americans and Blacks in the USA. Cliches and coincidences abound throughout, finishing off with a (not so much) climatic ending that is supposed to mirror Shakespeare's Hamlet. Uggh [facepalm]. It turned out to be a lazy man's Dangerous Minds and that is quite hard to pull off.
