Wolverlean and his Anorexium Steel Skeleton

This doesn't look like the squatty, muscular Wolverine I know and love. Why does he have to look so jacked? The Japanese location has a lot of potential, but they seem to be squandering it on these super-machines of the week (weak). Personally, I've been enjoying Iron Man more and I have a lot less history with that character... Perhaps that's why.

I agree, the wolverine I remember and loved from the comics was a 5'7" stocky powerhouse that was all kinds of brutal... this series makes him seem like a massive pussy, with a girly voice...

If you're talking comics Wolverine, try 5"3" How's THAT for stocky? :-)

Yes, I'm a mormon. That's why I just smoked a pack of Newports and drank three vodka tonics.

Oh no! He's skinnier than you like!
He's still a badass.
And if you want bulky musclebound Wolverine, watch the X-Men anime. He's muscled as hell in that show.

They're both good though.

reply

yeah but they still got it wrong tho, wolverine's about 6' in x-men anime. i'll bet most of the world doesn't understand wolverine is not alluding to wolf, but a ferocious weasel the size of a small bear, known for it's stockiness and badasstitude packed in relatively small size, hence the codename for logan.

I think the anime version is supposed to look more like Hugh Jackman did in the first X-Men movie. Tall and lean. And Japanese Anime has a tendency to use long, thin lines when doing character bodies. He also seems like a much younger version of the Marvel character, so that may be why his voice isn't gruff in this one. Granted, I haven't watched this show from the beginning, so I don't know his back-story here.
