I want whatever medication the dad is on

The suckery of this movie is pretty well covered (crap science-fast, tidal wave like glaciers? really?), wooden acting, the usual stupid decisions (like, totally DON'T keep your eyes on the road, buddy, it's just a major disaster is all.)

I just want to know what the dad is taking. The rest of the acting is stilted, but while he has decent enough delivery, his inflection NEVER changes. Doesn't seem like lithium, since he's not spaced out (and from experience, it tends to do that a bit). Maybe some kind of new, super prozac-class drug? Sounds highly futuristic;)

Sample dialog:

"Get Nelson. You ok, you alright? No broken bones? Ok, alright." All in the tone of someone ordering a pizza, while he's helping his family out of the car he just flipped.

This is shaping up to be laughably bad. Let's see if i can enjoy it on those terms. I'll keep you posted.

This made me laugh out loud.

Or when they broke into that guys house for clothes and they heard a noise he shouts "oh hey we just came to get some warm clothes. bye!!"

I agree! The dad is pretty special..... He looks always the same, inexpressive and doesn't seem to realize that his family is in danger. From the beginning, when he doesn't hear his daughter leaving because he's in his radio transmissions... for almost nothing! Very bad acting, no emotions.
