Iknow they were switching in and out of English this whole movie but ive heard people peak Tagalog before and never heard Spanish words dropped. Yet in this movie i heard a few words. Cant remember all but i specifically remember hearing "Trabajo" (work) a few times. Im not familiar with alot of things Filipino and am just wondering can anyone shed some light.

Yes there are many Spanish words in Tagalog, because it was a colony of Spain for 300+ years. All the days of the week (except Sunday) are in Spanish. Other common words are coche (car), ventana (window), basura (garbage), zapatos (shoes), abogado (lawyer), baño (bathroom). They're spelled differently in Tagalog.
Some Spanish words have different meanings. Madre and padre don't mean mother and father, they mean nun and priest. Siempre doesn't mean always, it means "of course".
I wonder what Tagalog sounds like to people who only understand Spanish.

Although it is based in Tagalog, but the language spoken in Metro Manila right now is called Filipino, widely used in media and entertainment and understood by almost all Filipinos. It's a mixed with a lot of english and spanish words plus other filipino dialects like bisaya, hiligaynon, kapampangan etc.
Tagalog on the other hand doesn't have a mix of other filipino dialects but with a few english and spanish words and is spoken by older people in Manila and in Southern Luzon area.

english: chair
filipino: silya (cilla)
tagalog: salumpuwet
english: dictionary
filipino: diksyunaryo (diccionario)
tagalog: talahulugan
