What's the best way to take out a...

What are some of the best way to take out some of the zombies? And the special zombies? When it comes to the regular walkers, if they are alone, I'll kick them til they fall down and to conserve my weapon, I'll switch to my fists and just beat them til they are dead. I've only faced 3 of the Suiciders and I haven't figured out the best way to deal with them. Basically it seems like the only thing that worked for me was run up to them, hit them once or kick them and just kinda keep my distance until they explode. Tried throwing my weapon at them a couple of times but I couldn't tell much damage. The Rammers, the only thing that has helped me is molotovs, but I keep going thru those so fast, I never seem able to have one on hand to help deal with them when I need it. I still haven't gotten far enough in the game to have found a working handgun yet so any tips that involve shooting them in the head won't work for me.

Anybody got any tips?

I watch my husband play this game. Easy way to take out the thugs are to wait till they roar then brake both their arms. He told me its easier to kill them this way. If u go to google or yahoo look up the game and their are a lot of tips they will give u.

Easiest methods:

Lure a large group of walkers/thug/infected/ram to you and jump on top of a car. When they go to attack you they will miss because you're to high. Go into fury and dismantle all of the enemies. You'll get 5,000+ experience for killing a thug and 3 zombies so imagine a thug and 6-7 zombies. You get 8,000+ exp for killing a ram and 5 zombies in fury.

How exactly do you go into Fury Mode? I know where the bar is for it, but I've never been able to fill it up all the way or how to activate it. Does it have to be completely full before you can use it? I haven't even bothered to even buy any of the upgrades under the Fury part of the skill tree because I haven't been able to get the damn thing to activate.

Well, if you have a PS3, just fill up the rage meter and hold the circle button until your weapon goes away and your character puts a fist into an open hand and the just freaking hit some zombies.. Really funny..

Well, the Butcher is kinda hard but not impossible.. If you have fury ready, use it.. Otherwise shoot it or go nuts with you fav' weapon.. Just make sure you always move while around it..

The floater is easy.. Just run around the back of it and go nuts with a quick weapon..

thug: aim for arms when thug roars and either break them (blunt weapon e.g baseball bat) or cut them off (sharp weapon e.g machete) then kill it, be careful of it headbutting though, it can still hurt you

suiciders: i just throw my main weapon and they blow up or you can shoot them a few times, best to keep distance (another way if your weapon isnt doing the job when you throw it is to run up to them until they start to explode {you see their life go down and they kinda twitch} then jump back a few times quickly)

ram: wait for it to run at you then jump out the way and hit it in the exposed spot on its back 3 - 4 times then move or it will turn around and kick you, then repeat till its dead

bloaters: i find it easier to dodge spit and get behind them then hack away at their back, they go into a stumble type animation for every hit so as soon as your their they pretty much go straight down

butchers: not faced 1 yet but heard its best to use guns or just keep hacking and moving, they act like infected but are tougher, or go for somethin with a knockdown effect mod on and then stamp/cut off their head

the ram always gives me the most trouble so i've resorted to just spamming grenades whenever i see him. if you find a vendor who is selling deoderant and duct tape you can stockpile it and be able to make lots of grenades (once you have the blueprint that is). if there's a propane canister nearby throw it at him and shoot it.. that will often kill him in 1 go. whereas it takes 2 well-placed grenades to bring him down in most cases. jumping on a car is a good way to go when he's near too.

*oh yeah a REALLY effective tactic for the ram is keeping 1 or 2 explosive throwing knifes in your inventory. one hit with one of those will take down his health most of the way; and it's easy to hit them with it.

the butchers aren't as tough as the ram imo. what you want is a really quick weapon like a katana with high damage and handling but low durability. i usually keep one of those in my inventory in case i run into a butcher, but use blunt weapons for everyone else. just get in his face and hack as fast as you can.. he will probably get some hits in but you'll take him down before he can do too much damage i've found. the main thing is he doesn't flinch hardly at all it seems and he's really fast, so I don't try to dodge and stuff. running him over a few times with a car helps too

Rams are pretty easy if you can get them in an alley way or whatever with two walls that are close enough for him to run into. You'll catch a rhythm and can hit them some (depends on your weapon how many times) and then back off and side step him and let him run into the other wall. Aside from that, fire does a good bit of damage. Deo-Bomb, Molotov, Inc. Grenade...

Butchers I thought were pretty easy. Katanas are pretty good, but I think just about any long weapon works wonders. Wakas, Fire Axes, Hanbos (esp. with Sawdisc attachments)...

Thugs are pretty easy with blunt weapons. Try and circle them out of reach and duck in and hit their arms and break them. You get tons of XP if you break their arms then kill them. I had a Sawdisc Hanbo for my main playthrough and had a longer reach than their arms which made it easy.

Suiciders, best is kicking and backing up. If you kick, pull back and immediately jump (still holding back) you should easily have enough room to pull it off without wasting anything. If not, guns are the best. If you haven't gotten guns, a molotov takes them out really easy. If no molly, and you have enough crappy weapons start throwing them.

Floaters, circle behind them to avoid vomit. Katana or fast weapons are the best imo, just cut their back up.

For me, the worst area in this game is the city of Moresby. The infected, especially, are everywhere. I just went through a particular area of the city today and about twenty of them surrounded me. Crazy as hell.

If there's a lot of zombies, the best thing to do is get above them. In the city, I usually try to get on the hood of the car and kick them until they fall down or until they die. The infected, however, have a knack for jumping on the hoods of cars.

As for the Suiciders, they're actually really useful if a group of zombies are following you. Just walk up to the Suicider until it starts to twitch and shake and then move as far away as you can until it explodes. If there's zombies near it, they'll die from the blast.

The Rams are tougher. If they charge at you, try to run out of the way and then attack their backside (they take more damage to the back than the front). Keep repeating until they die, but keep your distance when it's walking toward you to avoid having it kick you. That hurts a lot.

The other horrible type of zombie is the Butcher. It's basically the infected on speed. All it does is try to slice you up the best it can with the rest of its remaining limbs. I still haven't figured out the best way to fight these kind, but I've only seen them in the Jungle so far.

Never waste your Molotovs! They are very useful and can take out multiple zombies at a time. Same goes for ammunition--don't waste it blindly. Especially when you run into human enemies (roscols, they're called).

Other than that, all I can do is wish you luck. Hope this helped a bit.

Been dead here a while but I've got a brilliant way of taking the ram down.

Have a shock machete in your inventory, they are brilliant. Wait until he runs at you, dodge and hack him a few times until he starts freaking out from electric shock and pounce.
Dies almost instantly, very affective!
