HATED the first episode and decided not to watch any more. Couldn't resist dipping in and out and by the end had grown to like it.

I think the problem was they were trying to give us too much information in the first episode - as someone said once, in the days of Dad's Army a sitcom was given SEASONS to find its feet. Now we're bombarded with all the quirks and catchphrases in the first few minutes as they desperately try to get our attention so we won't turn over, resulting in the series being cancelled.

So, a bit of patience pays off with this.

Yeah totally agree, thought it was a bit average at first but having now given it another go I think this is a really good comedy. Once you get a bit more of a feel for the characters, especially the dad, they're pretty hilarious.
